In
September 2008, our Kids Minstry underwent a complete overhaul.
We changed from the Awana program to a program developed by the Kids
Ministry teaching staff. This page contains some highllights of
our activities. If you came here looking for the Awana pages from
previous years, don't panic! The Awana archive may be accessed here.
Meetings
Our
Kids Ministry provides activities for toddler to pre-youth every
Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Most meetings consist of a
large group prayer and worship session just for kids, followed by a
graded Bible study session. For some time, our emphasis has
been on the earthly ministry of Jesus.
Some meetings are
unannounced "fun nights." Our purpose is still worship, but
during fun nights, it is done through games and other activities. You
never know what to expect, other than it will be fun. Check out

One year, our mission project for this year was to collect a mile of pennies for the the North Carolina Baptist Children's Homes. We met our goal before Easter, and began working on collecting comfort items for a National Guard unit in Iraq.
